I never said it was his fault. It's just these sorts of things are what sink campaigns. It's about the image it puts across. One of the main streets of Adelaide is now at walking pace & it's looking like Vic could be following suit.

Re: #Official Mining Thread

On Uranium, the commodity is sitting at near record lows on the spot market. Most uranium miners are actually losing money digging the stuff up currently. The thinking is that Japans shutdown of its Nuclear reactors has completely shifted the supply/demand equilibrium into supply surplus. If the Jap...

Re: #Official Mining Thread

Also of interest is after all the articles above about Rex signing with the Chinese...nothing eventuated. Now we have the South Koreans apparently in the picture. You would think these positive developments would have a positive impact on Rex's share price right? No, the company is currently trading...

Re: #Official Mining Thread

Saw this on the news in BRISBANE! Pretty excited overall in the report. Hope it goes ahead. 6km long open cut of iron ore is pretty staggering to conceive - will be pushed along by the continued Chinese desire for the ore. However. I watched a doco about the Chinese economy on 7th and spoke of impe...

Apparently the crocket club have paid only $15,000 rent for the square (1 month). When you consider they brought in $110,000 on the 1st Saturday I think the council has under charged these guys.

the Gabba would have to the ugliest oval in Australia, simply because of their seat colour choice. Shows how important it is to get it right.

[PRO] Re: APP: Westfield Marion Expansion | $350m

An article came out the other day saying that new commerical rent contracts are about 5% less than last year. However Westfield are notorious for never reducing rent. I've been saying it for nearly two years now, but there is a bubble occurring in retail, or more to the point in the commerical retai...

Another example of bizarre construction costs. $3m for two cafes??? You could quite literally build 2 three storey Scott Salisbury homes for that much. Yet we are talking about two small cafes in the heart of the city.

How the hell does it cost $3m???

Re: #Official Mining Thread

WPG are a smart mob, they developed the iron ore project that arrium eventually bought out a few years ago. Made their shareholders a nice quid! However the iron ore market has changed, no big take overs or developments are occurring because the outlook on IO is below $100 a tonne. Most of these new...

Re: #Official Mining Thread

I can only pray that Hillside goes ahead, but with Rex having a MC of $60m and $30m in the bank, the market currently values Hillside at $30m. They have spent $200m developing it. A real disppointment. This isn't going to go ahead unless they find a partner or get taken over( * I hold Rex minerals s...

Re: South Australia- An independent nation

Hello everyone! I have been brain storming for a project of mine in regards to the benefits and downfalls of South Australia declaring independence (leaving the federation). And who better then the good folk of Sensational-Adelaide to provide feedback, to the state (former?) and city they love. OK,...
