If I may point out a few areas which could of been better managed.
What fool anticipates a growth in patronage but does not increase capacity. The trams can not be coupled and each carrys less then the existing trams. Frequencys can not be increased because they did not build grade seperations ...

Re: Glenelg Tram Line Upgrade
And how can the government stuffed our new tram system? It hasn't been better off since it started operations, and the extension was just as good, if not, better than the old route. To say they stuffed it is a cheap childish typical opposition comments, from someone who cannot afford to come out ...

Re: Adelaide Transport Woes
I agree with what has been said about making the rail system run more efficiently. It does make sense to make better use of out existing rail system for public transport from the outer areas to the city centre. It needs to be fast, stop less often and have feeder bus services.

Re: Adelaide Transport Woes
Hi Adam, i agree with what you have said
But have you ever been to Los Angeles? A freeway system is not the answer, it doesn't matter how large you make the road system, demand will always rise above capacity.
Why must people allways refer to LosAngeles with any road construction. Why not more ...

Um, jk, please check my posts.
Adelaide had Melbourne style left hand loading in King William Street with safety zones till 1958.
I have never seen these left hand loading bays in any of the old photos.

bulldoser I might of been too strong on personal attacks and disorganised arguments. Let me sum up my argument against public transport breifly

Re: Ideas for a greater public transport system
How about we look at and address why these stations are unused as opposed to throwing them all in the too hard basket?
How do you propose they be brought to a reasonable usage level? Stations that have too low patranage should be closed. Trains are ment to travel long distances at high speeds ...

Re: Article: City Tram Track To Grow
Please explain what you mean by 'tram to nowhere' because none of the anti-tram people seem to be able to. Apparently our city is 'nowhere,' UniSA is 'nowhere,' the rail station and convention centre are 'nowher.' Need I go on?

See what I mean? Suddenly I'm a conspiracy theorist for suggesting that car companies advertise, and suddenly PT needs to be carbon neutral to be creditable.
What are you and rhino trying to suggest then. The reason for people not wanting to use other forms of transport is because of car company ...

Re: Roads & Rail
The census only covers travel to work. You have to consider the other 50% of non work travel purposed. Cars do 95% of the work. I am not aware of the exact efficiency levels of public transport in Melbourne. The article none the less proves that public transport is not close to carbon neautral as ...

Re: Roads & Rail
What an absolute crock of shit that trains and trams produce more greenhouse gases than cars. Are you comparing 1 car to 1 train, and 1 car to 1 tram, or dont you realise that 1 tram could carry around 100 people, and 1 train can carry around 700 people. You probably come from the school of thought ...
