Re: #PRO: Woodville West Urban Renewal
I drove past this development today. A lot has happened since the last photo post in August. Some of the buildings look like they're almost complete.

Looks like this is being designed by the architects who did Air apartments.

Re: Bike storage in city developments
Are you getting the bike spaces and carparking spaces regulations mixed up fast_forward? That would mean they would need 117 bike spaces in the Bent Street Apartments. Can't see that happening. Im sure. The carparking requirements are: No car space needs to be provided for apartments under 75m2, an...

Re: Bike storage in city developments
From memory, I think the current requirement is 1 bicycle space for each apartment under 150m2 and 2 spaces for each apartment over 150m2. Plus 1 visitor bicycle space per 10 apartments.

Re: General Suburban Projects & Discussion
I didnt know of a new shopping centre on Walkerville Tce, built on the Transport SA carpark. Its called Walkerville Village Shopping Centre. Its all action there. Much better than a carpark and will be great for that little strip. I think that the Walkerville Village Shopping Centre is the Walkervi...

[CAN] Re: Proposal # Olympic House 77-80 West Terrace (7lvl)
I just searched this on the ACC web site. A 12 month extension of the planning approval was granted in January. It looks like this one still has a chance to go ahead.

This is in the DAP agenda for next week. The aganda is on the ACC website. Looks like the developer is still going to demolish the old buildings.

[quote="rhino"][quote="Shuz"] The disappointing thing about bulldozing these old buildings is the reason - to make way for entrances to underground carparking. This means that not only do we lose some beautiful historical buildings, but we also lose two pedestrian-friendly lanewa...

Im new to all this, but does anyone know what was proposed for this this laneway? The photos of what is there now dont seem to offer much for an active street. They are nice buildings, but if they are to stay, there will be very little interaction between the new building and this little street beca...

[CAN] Re: #Approved: Spire Living - 110m - 32lvl apartments
I have received floor plans of them and they are quite small - They have only 1 bathroom - even the 2 bedders - with the toilet in there. Only the 2b have a bath but looking at the floor plan it looks like the shower is above it. Not necessarily major issues but if you are paying the money they wan...
