Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
When I flew in to the airport on Sunday morning I noticed a 747 Freighter parked on the southern end of the terminal. I think it was "Silk Way Airlines" or something. Does anyone know what this was all about? I didn't realise we in South Australia had much trade with Azerbaijan...

[COM] Re: Eclipse: Renaissance Arcade | 94m | 30lvls | Residential
Pretty hilarious that someone thinks we're turning into a mini New York when we haven't had a new tallest in 27 years now.
I agree with your other points and I hate to be THAT guy, but after the Empire State Building was built, NYC didn't have a new tallest building for near 40 years... :) Then ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
I thought I saw a Malaysia Airlines 747 coming in to land today at around 10:30 I couldn't tell if it was a passenger plane or a cargo plane but i'm pretty sure it had the distinct 747 'hump' at the front. Anyone know what this was all about?

[SWP] Re: PRO : New Womens and Childrens Hospital
I wonder what will happen to the present site of the Women's and Children's? Apartments I would imagine.
Although I must say that having spent quite a bit of time there when I was young, it was in a nice relaxing location right next to the park.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
Welcome to the forum.
That's good to hear, but I reckon they (China Southern) have been saying stuff like that for quite some time now. I won't get too excited until they make a definitive announcement. Notice how he said that before they add new routes, they want to strengthen the market in ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
I agree it is surprising. But didn't Thai Airways International fly here several years ago? I wonder what happened there.
Also I guess with Air Asia X beginning services here, I'm sure a lot of the travllers going to Kuala Lumpur will be going on to Thailand. However that being said, I'm not sure ...

[COM] Re: VIS: 27lvl Commercial & Entertainment tower - Festival P
Someone mentioned earlier that the ground floor could become an information centre, while the top floor could become a restaurant/observation deck. That's quite a good idea. Even though this building will reduce the size of the open space adjacent to the Festival Theatre, if done right, the building ...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
I had a look on the DPTI Website and it appears that all they're going to do North of the Outer Harbour Line is upgrade the surface of South Road. So essentially, there are going to be at least 3 sets of traffic lights between the Outer Harbour Line and the Superway. Don't get me wrong, I welcome ...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
It looks good, but I have to agree with Patrick here. Basically we're going to have two free flowing sections of road with two intersections between them. This is where it'd be nice to see the results of that planning study. I mean it looks like the Federal Government/Opposition are keen to upgrade ...

[U/C] South Road Planning Study
Not sure where this belonged, so I decided to create a new topic. This works on two levels, because it will also likely attract people's attention.
Does everyone remember that Planning Study we were promised? You know, the one that was to focus on the portion of South Road between Regency Park and ...

[COM] Re: SWP: Goodwood Junction Rail Underpass | $110m
My apologies if this has already been verified, but what will happen to the Leader St crossing down at Goodwood? Will it remains as it is, or will one or more of the lines be passed beneath it?

Has anyone heard any new info on this project? I quite liked the original design and was excited to hear about ambitions to make it the city's tallest tower.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
While I agree with the points that have been angrily made about Qantas abandoning its only international service from Adelaide, I think it may be a bit unfair to compare them and SIA. After all, SIA fly onwards to Europe, Asia and North America from Singapore, while Qantas will only have Jetstar ...

Re: Adelaide Airport & Airline News
My apologies if someone has already answered this question; but once the current development is complete; what will happen to the old ramp/bridge that we all used to use to get into the Departures area?
