Bridges over the Gawler River were far from complete as at March 30 (Nearmap image). Also of interest is the spur on the northbound carriageway at the Port Wakefield Road end for the Northern Connector. The Port Wakefield Road bridge itself clearly caters for both carriageways and the central rail ...

I work on the project and although i find the roundabouts uncomfortable to drive around, traffic lights are a pain in the arse.

Why have they alienated the alignment of all the interchanges that cross over the expressway? Now the road geography of the area is all jumbled. I liked it back in the day when the streets intersected at right angles and were proportionate to one another. Is it too much to ask for a little perfecti...

what is the latest news with South Rd, between Torrens Rd & Grange Rd? Has this been shelved indefinately? For now, yes. I see the commercial site (old Pizza Hutt) was sold- was this bought by private interests? Also, the land/houses on the western side of South Rd- what is currently happening ...

its mostly pavement rehabilitation to the bardavcol section and some minor modifications to the mallala road bridge

i think expressways are supposed to be designed to suit heavy vehicle/freight traffic primarily, but its just a guess

I find it amusing that none of adelaides major roads seem to be named after anybody - for example in perth there is the Graham Farmer Freeway, Tonkin Hwy, Roe Hwy etc. But in Adelaide we seem to keep it simple, Southern Expressway, Northern Expressway. Why not take some pride and name it after someb...

the EOI is out for the Superway and I understand that tenders have been called for the early works package, which is mostly service relocations and local roadworks.
