Re: Public transport's New Year revamp

Long time - no post. Word floating around at the moment is at there is complex merger between TransAdelaide and the Public Transport Division, which should be complete by the end of the year (apparently). Also keep your eyes peeled for some community consultation on the 145/146 bus routes for a rero...

Re: High Rise TTP apartments and interchange

It is intriguing how suburban councils bleat on endlessly about trying to avoid becoming 'another Glenelg' (as if high shop rents, high foot traffic, high land values and high patronage were somehow undesirable) whilst trying to maintain a 'village atmosphere', and yet it's their own development gu...

Re: #Article: Adelaide's worst bus routes revealed

The Adelaide Metro brand in its current form is only 5 years old - the current style is an improvement on former attempts (I am of course reffering to the time when there were at least 12 different colours in use and lacked uniformity, especially when the first incarnation of the website was PURPLE ...

Re: Glenelg Tram upgrade (#UC: South Rd Overpass)

Signs are up on tram stops flagging a weekend closure on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 4, 5 AND 6 DECEMBER 2009. This will be to allow the switch over to track on the new bridge. We expect that at the same time they will be replacing the heavily worn track where the line crosses South Tce in the city...

Re: My Ideas for Adelaide Transport System

Welcome to Sensational Adelaide! Just as friendly suggestion, before posting anymore idea about any improvments to the system, sift through the many many many different threads already on this topic - there are numerous. This will give a foundation to work off of and before any criticism occurs, esp...

Re: Cross suburban bus routes

If your defintion of "lately" was over a month ago, then yes it is still painfully slow - it has so much potential if it was a little faster and more often, so then most people would not have to go into the city and out again.

Re: #PRO: Extension plans for Tonsley and Noarlunga lines

I forgot to add, I (and most probably most here have) experienced the woeful 100. What alternate options are there other than going into the city and out again? Basically none. Why doesn't cross-suburban transport in Adelaide not work? Is it due to not knowing about it (I think elsewhere on this for...

Re: #PRO: Extension plans for Tonsley and Noarlunga lines

Appreantly people that dont work in the CBD don't need decent Public transport. Interesting...... You have quite a good point Cruise, but unfortunately that's the thing about Adelaide. If it weren't for the Circle Line Bus service, you'd have to go in to the city to go out of the city. But that onl...

Re: Electrification and Resleepering of TransAdelaide Network

Slightly related in regard to the Grange line. It being single track in its entire length from Woodville to Grange and the government wants to put trams on the same strech for most of the way, - does that mean the Grange line will be double tracked to cater for the trains and trams?? If so there is ...
