Re: #Official Mining Thread
I have absolutely no science to backup this claim, but I believe that the Woomera area is going to yield an absolute motherload of minerals yet to be discovered. Why else would giants Rio and Fortescue be interested in exploring the area, and so close to the colossal mineral deposits of Olympic Dam...

Re: #PRO: Point Lowly Developments
Wayno, I'm afraid you're incorrect in assuming Port Bonython's expansion has anything to do with Olympic Dam. It's proposed to be an iron ore export facility... and iron ore is not one of ODX's mineral targets. Port Bonython's newly proposed jetty is being pitched to a bunch of junior miners with ir...

Re: APP: Lucky Bay Iron Ore Port
A serious port for mineral exports would be a much better outcome. This is one of many sub-optimal port developments progressing through approvals in SA all of which are being constructed on the cheap, just to get some minerals out, and their cashflow up. Government is not leading these miners towar...

That I am yet to see. I suggested a LED ticker as an alternative, placed on the mall-side of the intersection. It could take an RSS feed from the Lantern's software, thereby playing the filename of the currently displaying work. A much better solution IMO, but at greater effort and expense to the co...

Thought I'd revive this thread and post a 'currently playing' Rundle Lantern clip. qWtnvzqJoTQ For those interested, I also wrote a blog post pointing out the lack of attribution for artists who make content for the lantern... caused a stir at the ACC and prompted some speedy and satifying action. H...

[COM] Re: #COM: Rundle Lantern
There are a few details there that need fixing... spelling the names of artists and their works correctly is important (especially when artists are working without a fee of any kind). The name of my artwork is actually 'Shop 'Til You Drop' (not the dyslexic gen-y SMS kid version as printed) a...

Reading your observations re the shortfalls of the online simulator, rest assured... there are many more kinks in the work flow pipeline that need ironing out. The one I'd like to mention here is regarding what is deemed 'appropriate' content. I have been in contact with the Adelaide Fringe regardin...
