Looking at it now, I actually think this was not the ugliest building in Adelaide. I much rather see the red brick monstrosity next door to HS demolished!

Re: Mawson Lakes - Not just another suburb
The issue with car parking has started to become a problem at a lot of places in the last 24 months I reckon. Oaklands is now FULL during the day, despite the huge number of parks provided, hallett cove beach has been overflowing as well. Is there room at mawson lakes to expand the carpark? There i...

Re: Mawson Lakes - Not just another suburb
Took a walk around da hood this arvo, here are some pics. These are my first development pics, so don't kick me hard :) This is the HMH tower -- almost finished, looks like some internal grooming still going on, no tenants at the moment. Saw a couple of suits today at the entrance discussing lease o...

[COM] Re: #APP: Rundle Place | 93m | 19lvls | Office & Retail
I heard a discussion about this project on local ABC today. There's an idea of 'incorporating' local side-streets into this development to create Melbourne-style lanes with cafes and small shops, as well as redeveloping neighboring warehouses into a retail space. Also, they discussed possibility of ...

Re: #PRO: City Busway - O-Bahn to West Tce
The bus lanes will go down the middle of Grenfell/Currie? Does that mean they will lurch across the lanes to go to a stop? That'll be a bit difficult... That's what my question was this morning... Unless they plan to locate the stops in the middle of the road, just like tram stops, I don't see how ...

Re: Hardened Networked Army (HNA)
Looks like somebody in Canberra is thinking of boosting the defense, including new subs and all sorts of things. Good news for SA?

Re: Introduction Thread
Did you come from overseas? If so, what made you pick Adelaide over the other capitals? ;) For the last 15 years I lived in places like London, Amsterdam, Moscow and Manila. Got tired of big cities, crowds, traffic, etc. -- wanted something quiet but civilised. Here I had to choose between Sydney, ...

Oh, thanks for the warm welcome! I'm indeed new to the forum and, in fact, Adelaide, and I'm really sorry for clogging your space here. Still, I think that to have an opportunity to go from one end of the city to another without having to change is extremely good for increase in PT use and reducing ...

Re: #U/C: Port Adelaide Tram Line
In my humble opinion what Adelaide really needs is public transport that goes from south to north and back without changes in the CBD. Currently north and south are very much isolated, the two parts of Adelaide are essentially two separate cities. If at least we have a tramline going from Glenelg al...
