Re: M1 South-Eastern Freeway

I still prefer the short north freeway option proposed by the freight council a few years ago. That one is far less out of the way than driving Monarto to Truro.

But the Swanport Bridge duplication is very welcome.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

If the freight rail component of the northern connector was to be built, that would free up a rail line along the gawler line and all the way to Virginia

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

Making garages bigger won’t fix anything. It will just give people a little bit more room to store all their shit. It’s common in a new areas for people to park their cars out the front while they use their 6m by 6m double garage to store an ungodly amount of shit.

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

15 million for Curtis road is chicken feed…. There is no way the city of Playford will match it.

Also, turning empty land into housing is not urban renewal, it’s just urban sprawl.

I think a stop gap measure would be to put traffic lights on the roundabouts at those exits. Just to use during peak hour

So I drove through the Heaslip road exit today and believe it or not, they are putting traffic lights up……

I assume the roundabout will remain, just with added ...

Ultimately they need to redesign the double roundabout interchanges into something with a much higher capacity

Further up the NSM, the Heaslip and the Curtis road exits regularly fill up the merging lanes and back out towards the freeway in peak hour.
