[COM] Re: APP: Rundle Place (Harris Scarfe) | 102m 21lvl Office/Re

I have spoken with Axel (Axel Beers). He is as much in the dark as everybody else. He has not been given a deadline on when to move out, so that would indicate that no prime tenant has been secured for the office component. There was some suggestion that Bendigo Bank are/were sniffing around, but th...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre and Riverbank Redevelopment

The words I used were - NEED TO BE RELOCATED.

Agreed - great to have rowing on the river, but those ugly sheds at the gateway to the city. Not ideal IMO.

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre and Riverbank Redevelopment

Impressive.

However IMO those rowing sheds need to be relocated. They are of no architectural merit and need to go, allowing more green open space. Only in Adelaide would a development of such a prime spot retain outbuildings more appropriate to the riverfront of a shanty town.

[COM] Re: PRO: 115 King William St | 86M | 25lvls | Office

Presuming the finished product is of resonably high quality, this is presicly the sort of sleek and relatively tall development Adelaide needs. There are more than enough low/medium rise, bland stumpy buildings in the Adelaide CBD - via the implied mandate of the ACC. Personally i hope this one gets...

Re Will's post - 2 of the Councilors who were most voiciferous in their oposition to this development - Ralph Clarke & Anne Moran are reportedly both running for Lord Mayor. What a backward step it would be if either of those 2 became the ringmaster of that increasingly irrelevant and incompeten...

[U/C] Re: SWP: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | 20m | 6lvls | Mixed

Makris has already given the ACC and the residents/users of North Adelaide 'the bird' by putting up that disgraceful perimeter fence. I mean exactly how hard would it have been to run with 1 colourbond colour - not hard at all. I don't think any resident would get away with that - council regs would...

Re -Remediation work on the former SAJC building site is nearing completion What about the 'heritage' grandstand and the gates? The grandstand appears to have had various 'leen-to's' attached over the years. Surely remediation does not include retaining them? The grandstand is barely worth keeping I...

Anyone know if there are plans to remove the brown building on the RHS of the photos posted by Xara? Likely something to do with railway signalling etc - A jarring visual blight that ideally would be razed.

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment - General Discussion Thread

Prefer this one to the previous design. In the previous design each stand seemed to be making it's own statement - there was a lack of integration. Will be interested to see what ultimately happens at the northern end. Now that the heritage battle is effectively over, not hard to forsee that in a fe...

IMO the stretch of KWS between North terrace and Vic Sq is in desperate need of a makeover. As far as being Adelaide's premier business street, it leaves a lot to be desired. Whilst containing a number of magnificent heritage buildings, the majority of that stretch is characterized by bland and comp...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment - General Discussion Thread

Hi - new on here. I heard the 891 interview with Kevin Foley this AM. The subject of the 45,000 stadium capacity came up as a result of Matt Abraham (I think) telling Foley he had heard from a source that the SMA was looking at a reduced capacity of 40,000. Foley responded that he was not aware of t...
