I find that bizzare to be honest. Why not keep the current onramp from PWR to the NEXY? I thought that interchange was deliberately designed so that there was room for that current slip lane plus the Northern Connector.
I hope this doesn't become another "Trams Can't Turn Right" controversy

Dan Pellekaan, despite his help in obtaining FOI requests for us, hasn't commented publicly. Kendall Jackson hasn't been receptive but she did say that as part of "Recharge Our Regions", Rail would be considered if it needed to be.

We're advocating for freight and to a lesser extent passengers. I understand where your coming from don't worry - obviously GWA have decided that they have no personal use for the lines other than hanging onto them but that shouldn't preclude another operator wanting to use them if they wanted to.

Not coming down on either side of the argument but presumably GWA have judged that maintenance and use of the lines would not be profitable - regardless of their responsibilities to do so.
