Yikes! This turned out to be one fugly, but true to cheap Adelaide form. Does anyone know if it was the same architect for this "slightly" altered design or did it change hands?

Such a damn bloody shame about that Western wall. Especially given the prominent location of this tower.

Haven't commented on this project yet, but what a fantastic development for this part of the CBD. I wondered for quite some time after they completed phase 1 (the french fry building), when they would get started on the second phase, and finally, they're almost finished. The buildings may be a tad o...

This building looks too different for Adelaide, how on earth did this get approved? Its doesn't have any massive blank concrete walls, lol

I quite like it actually, even though its short and stubby - its growing on me... And just wait until all the scaffolding is removed from the south facing wall where those grid-like balconies are, I think it will look quite striking. Plus, there aren't any large and prominent blank walls to speak of...

That's a great design, and much praise for the short time-frame in-which you came up with it. :D But, two things you've not factored in when creating your design. There's way too much floor-space because you've added the height (unless of-course it's mixed use?) and the building drastically overwhe...

I'm no professional or even graduate architect, but I can still come up with a concept for this site in a few hours - here's one i prepared earlier  I tried to go with something that blends with the newer developments surrounding it but with significantly more height (30 stories). Blocky compa...

Looking very classy! By far one of the best mixed use tower designs I've seen for Adelaide, and not a bland concrete wall in sight! In fact, it is nicely covering up the boring western facing wall of the Art. Knowing how concepts like this get treated, I fear the excitement may be a little premature...

I know it shouldnt, but proposals like this make my blood boil. Its exciting to imagine any new developments that are in the pipeline for Adelaide, even if its just 21 storeys, but such a prime location deserves attention from the best architects in the country and a budget that can handle that. Hel...

Does anyone know if they are still installing the huge glass panels on the rear of the building - as seen from the original proposals? From your photo nikelai, "aria2", on the top left of the building it looks as though they are putting up metal struts to hold these panels, but only on the...

Wow.. those colours make it look like cheap precast concrete. Couldn't they have selected a bronze colour or something more classy, being $2.1b and all.. and sitting next to the SAHMRI. I don't mind those colours so much. It certainly is a contrast to its surroundings, but it does need something el...

No worries Phantom, glad i can contribute in some way. Was in Adelaide for only 6 days, and seriously wanted to cram in as much new architecture sight seeing as possible (hadn't seen the new Oval, the Samhri or the Superway in person either) so getting a look inside the hospital was a treat. I grew ...
