[COM] Re: PRO: Oaklands Rail Underpass
The grade separation will allow for a small bus interchange and will make it possible for more Marion Centre buses to use the station, it will make traffic flow better and will be possible to terminate buses there eg 645, 646 and 734. Some people need to drive or use a bus to the station, so the gra...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
The City Loop tram will encourage more development in the southern half of the city, it's a city loop so needs to service the entire city, it's pointless having it loop go past the central markets it's only a half city loop if it goes that way, maybe one day a tram will be built down Grote Street bu...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
According to Yarra Trams the average speed of a tram in Melbourne is 16km/h in the suburbs and 11km/h in the CBD, they are painfully slow at times. http://www.yarratrams.com.au/about-us/who-we-are/facts-figures/ Does the North Adelaide extension have any new trams included? The Norwood one has four ...

The Metrocard needs a daily cap and it needs to be under $7 for a full fare, Myki Zone 1&2 is $8.60 for comparison. Metrocard fares are about 2/3 of the paper ticket so a full fare daily Metrocard fare should be $6.75 the paper ticket is $10.20.

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
Is this idea a joke, it's so f*ing stupid I see the picture and see a roof top carpark, under that carpark could be a shopping centre a supermarket and some shops under that is the bus interchange. you could easily have the shopping centre at the same level as Darley Road. This proposal is a joke, w...

Aldi will be at 200 Main Road Blackwood - corner of Chapman Street, diagonally opposite On The Run. Found this group while searching, https://www.facebook.com/NoAldiBlackwood/ It looks like 80% of the people want an Aldi, I used to live in Blackwood and an Aldi up there would be great, it's away fro...

[U/C] Re: $12m Brighton Central Shopping Centre Re-devolpment
Woolworths Brighton is closing on the 28th of January for redevelopment. Brighton Central is pretty much finished, looks nice enough, the speciality stores are pretty small, Foodland has an odd setup, especially between the fresh food section and the grocery aisles it seems to be a bit of maze, hope...

[COM] Re: U/C: Armada Arndale Redevelopment | $200m
Westfield Plenty Valley and Epping Plaza are only 10mins apart and both have undergone massive renovations in the last decade or so, both in pretty low density areas. Many shopping centres are within 10 or 15mins of another large one. Arndale has pretty big potential, a lot of people heading to West...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
I don't think South road will go to the west just before Regency Road, there's a property for sale currently just before the industrial complex (makin) which would need to be demolished if the road was widened to the west. Maybe someone could buy it and demand the gov't pay you a premium  - ...

Have the platforms at Adelaide Railway Station changed yet? The big switch between the OH and Gawler lines. Something like platforms 1 to 3 Seaford / Tonsley; 4 and 5 Belair: 6 and 7 Gawler and 8 and 9 Outer Harbor / Grange.

It seems like they're just trying to shove the largest stadium they can in that small area, if you move it the green area (oval 2) to the west of Adelaide Oval you can knock down the current tennis stadium and use that as a forecourt for Adelaide Oval and the new Multipurpose stadium. There's plenty...

What's wrong with the curfew? I doubt there will be a significant increase in traffic if it's relaxed, more likely current traffic will be spread out over more hours. You could relax the curfew if situations arise like delayed / diverted flights etc. The curfew actually creates business, if a flight...

Why would they change the 80 zone if the next 10 to 15km is going to be an 80 zone?
Google maps says the current 80km (ish) trip takes 67mins, the Northern Connector would save you about 3mins, the big time saving is like 20min between Darlington and Regency Rd.

[U/C] Re: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | Mixed Use
I see a bland development here, apartments 4 to 6 stories, open space, townhouses facing Centenary Street, some ground level retail, an Aldi would work well here, basement parking covering the entire site.
