[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
Still no fix to the southbound exit from NS motorway onto Port Road which is a nightmare in peak hour. The slip lane is too short and only one lane, incredibly underequipped to deal with the increasing volume of traffic. Totally agree. I've been saying this in surveys and at information booths et a...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
Had to go along the freeway this morning for a work meeting going the opposite direction in peak hour. My God, I could not believe how backed up it gets. All 3 lanes were a parking lot between Ashwin Parade and the Outer Harbor train line bridge in the morning. And in the evening, it was backed up ...

I'm a bit surprised that the Truro By-Pass got the axe given that it's a major freight route and goes some way to dealing with issues related to accommodation hill..

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
My question is what is there to gain by spending many million of $ to redirect the standard gauge corridor along the NE? It is comparable to standardising the suburban network. With no freight access anymore, there is little point to doing so. Perhaps it might be more practical once all the electri...

Regarding Elder Smith Rd, who came up with the genius idea to make the bridge one lane only? During the rail closure, it sometimes took 10-15 minutes to get from the interchange to Salisbury Hwy. Are there any other cities on earth with such narrow minded 'insights'? It would've saved more money if...

The Richmond Road intersection/overpass does look large but remember it is the first opportunity for Southbound traffic to get off the motorway after Port Road, a distance over 4.5km. There's going to be a lot of traffic coming off there which previously used Sir Donald Bradman Drive or Henley Beach...

There are no exits from the tunnels other than at the ends. One consequence is that traffic traveling from the north or south to the city will have to get off at Port Road/Anzac Highway or use the existing surface road between Port Road and Anzac Highway. This is one of the most heavily congested pa...

There was another crash on the T2T section of the motorway today (Monday 8 November 2021) during the morning peak hour. I could see that Southbound traffic was at a standstill from the Regency Road Bridge to at least the Torrens Road Underpass. I suspect that the crash was at the Port Road exit. Thi...

I found the page below at https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/adelaides-north-south-motorway-urban-transformation-information-session-tickets-178427430247 . It puts the Sadvertiser's reporting of the "skyway" concept in context. It appears that the "skyway" concept is incidental. Wha...

Re: Adelaide Oval Expansion
When I did my MBus I was told that, when every company is following best practice, the company with the competitive advantage is the one not following best practice. Stadiums don't make money. Their economic rational (such as there is one) is that they attract interstate and overseas visitors who br...

[CAN] Re: Hove Level Crossing Removal | $171m
Park Terrace in Salisbury needs to be done ASAP. I agree, but how? The freight line means that you cannot have any appreciable vertical displacement of the railway given the short distance (and hence steep gradient) to the rail overpass on Salisbury Highway. The short distance between the railway l...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Not sure if it’s been mentioned anywhere, but extra height barriers are being installed on the Morphett St bridge along the Western side. Assuming this is to stop anyone from touching the new overhead wiring. There are new higher barriers on the Gawler Bypass bridge over the railway line too. It se...
