Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Contracts, Service & Policy
There seems to have been no mention of the SA Public Transport Authority (SAPTA) of late. Even when it was created and staff moved from DIT to SAPTA there was very little information about them full stop. They seem to be some kind of agency inside of DIT but to the regular consumer it might as well...

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Contracts, Service & Policy
Following the failed attempt at Bus Network reform by the Government mid last year, does anyone know what the plans are for future Bus Network reform? There seems to have been no mention of the SA Public Transport Authority (SAPTA) of late. Or is it a case of waiting until after the March 2022 Stat...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
It would appear that come November this year(if all the work is completed as promised) there will only be 2 electric train sets available for day to day operation. The rest will not be delivered until various times in 2022.

Don't bet on the reopening of the line from Adelaide to Mawson Lakes.
It was stated last week that due to shortages of various items, in particular steel the reopening next month is likely to be delayed.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
It needs to happen. If Currie/Grenfell St changes to a bus only street, it would only need to be two lanes each way, so the footpaths could be widened. You would need the 3rd lane to be for taxis, emergency vehicles and trucks and vans loading/unloading and disability access vehicles. Not sure how ...
