[U/C] Re: Burnside Village (Extension)
We currently have the best performing economy in the Country and most of the luxury stores going into Burnside will be the only ones in Adelaide. We have the population to sustain them. In terms of the talk about luxury stores opening in Rundle Mall, these brands are not open mall stores, they’re hi...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
I *think that Adelaide LV store is actually at Burnside and Adelaide Central Plaza are trying to secure a second store.

Or is it just the same stores wrapped in a different package?
Did you mean Bvlgari? There will be a few high-end stores there, including at least one of those you mentioned.

Not sure I can be more specific publicly, but yes, a number of the high end fashion brands you’d hope to see there will be.

Apparently there’s going to be a Louis Vuitton pop up at Adelaide Central Plaza. I expect there’ll be a permanent store in the CBD and Burnside soon.

I don’t mind it. At least the softened edges prevent it from being another glass box. I’m interested to see clearer renders of the western facade. I’m sure it’s not a concrete fire wall because there’s no adjoining property to the west and surely they wouldn’t want to block out ocean views if they d...

Zara’s had its eye on the current Woolworths Rundle Mall spot for a while and Woolworths has been looking for a new CBD location. I wouldn’t be surprised if Woolies went to the new Charter Hall development on King William St and Zara moved in.

I understand why this has been labelled a Vision in context of this site's classifications, but it's a lot further advanced than that. A lot of work has gone into it, including in respect of settling on a height that is expected to obtain all necessary approvals. No guarantee it's going to get built...

There’s a render on the front page of Adelaide Now but not one in the story, so I can’t copy the link. If someone’s still on an image hosting site, it’d be great if they could copy it in.
Looks pretty good.

Cladding that tower was an awful decision. 1 King William was once one of Adelaide's most attractive and timeless towers. The plasticy orange and grey cladding and random slanty bits just looks terrible. The original stone was crumbing and in danger of falling on pedestrians, so they had to clad ov...
