[COM] Re: Renaissance Arcade | 132m | 40 Levels | Realm Apartments
I slightly prefer the older design because the new one has a bit too much vertical symmetry for my taste. It's still the pick of the 100m+ developments in Adelaide. Also a relief that the revised materials wasn't for cost cutting. Do you honestly believe the developer would come out and say they ar...

Jaymz was one of the buyers burnt by New Mayfield so he has a track record in "dodgy" projects. I guess that entitles him to be sceptical of every other project but it sure makes him a long way from an expert in picking a good project and understanding the fundamentals in getting a project...

Elenberg Fraser may be the designer but they are not the ones paying the bills. I agree that we may be jumping to conclusions expecting that any changes will be a "dumbing down" of the original façade but that's just because in most cases that's exactly what changes like this turn out to b...

Try contacting the guys at Projected who are the agents looking after Adelaidean. It is their licence number on the Opus website now so they must have taken over the sales.

Jaymz - I have been wondering the same thing. I know they were marketing the apartments saying they didn't need a pre-sales requirement to get this one underway but I bet they were thinking that would be because they had a deal signed off with a hotel group. I dare say no bank will give them the req...

I'd agree with Slenderman - I think the demolition of the old building was more of a marketing exercise than a genuine start to construction. I believe they are still yet to appoint a builder so it might be a while before anything starts. Without a build price, the developer still can't assess the p...

but haven't Adelaidean also demolished sections of the existing buildings on their site? As PeFe stated above, just because you get Jay there shovelling some dirt doesn't necessarily mean that construction is full steam ahead. U2 had the same ceremony about 18 months ago and they have only just star...

Can someone please explain why they keep referring to themselves in all marketing and media releases as being the tallest building in Adelaide? Doesn't Adelaidean have claim to that? Or have I missed a changed in the DA where they have increased their height?

Let's hope Maxcon can deliver on the "never seen before in Adelaide" level of luxury that their marketing rhetoric has been banging on about. (Is there a project on the market in Adelaide at the moment that is not going to redefine luxury!?!?) From what I've heard from people that bought a...

I find it interesting that they are now saying they are 70% sold when they were stating 75% sold back in April - they were obviously overstating the number back then so how could anyone believe they would be telling the truth now?? I know this is an issue across the industry and it is hard to know w...

You can be fairly sure that they wouldn't have been made aware. Most of the bottom half of the building would have been sold throughout Asia using their selling agent networks in Malaysia, Singapore, HK & China. Many, if not most, of these buyers have probably never visited Adelaide and probably...

I wouldn't say that smeg is a low spec option that needs upgrading. The reality is Miele supply a lower end oven specifically for developers who want to leverage off the brand without spending what the buyer things they are. Obviously it works!! My previous comment about the fitout was more to do wi...

I agree with floplo - I think the prices are actually far less expensive than many of the other projects around town. When I was looking at the 2br options the same size apartment at Sofitel was about $200K cheaper than the equivalent size at Realm!!...and the fitout was a better quality. As for loc...
