Re: News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects

The lighter paving down the centre and the renders match pretty closely. Still happy to see them investing in these laneways though. https://glamadelaide.com.au/adelaide-invests-1-5-million-to-transform-cbd-laneways-into-vibrant-destinations/ https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20241112/e6c4306ab5a0789...

News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects

Charles Street. Reminds me of when I first moved to Adelaide and how disappointed I was the council couldn’t have matched the pavers on Rundle Mall after what I assumed was them digging up sections of the street over the years. A friend told me it was all new and supposed to be like that. https://up...

From hero to zero. Even the new render looks half hearted by comparison. I’d rather they just renovate the existing building at this point. That rooftop extension is a ludicrous idea. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20241104/79e435ada0897928f638763f7e20cad6.jpeg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

I note too some pretty significant changes (simplification?) to the design of Tarrkarri. Maybe it'll be cheaper to build. For reference: https://wpassets.s3.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/24071104/AACC_AERIAL_SOUTH-V3-2048x1229.jpg Feels like we’ve gone back to the sharper ...

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

Updated signage at Lot Fourteen now in place. Really interesting to see how this precinct will come together behind North Terrace. Some further new buildings planned near the car park and access into the Botanical Garden. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20241007/63ad086fdcacd228531ccd282865620d.jpg...

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

Article in the Advertiser quoted Peter Malinauskas saying the Tarrkarri Centre continued to be a “work in process…more as the open-ended possibility” and “we’ve got a lot of construction activity happening in the state at the moment and that increased demand can add to costs, so you want to get the ...

Are these new jobs or a relocation from Edinburgh? “The Australian arm of BAE is currently headquartered in Edinburgh, with the move set to bring approximately 500 employees to Lot Fourteen, while 800 new employees are set to be recruited in South Australia over the next 12 months.” Sent from my iP...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Interesting, Louis Vuitton occupied that same store front last year, and now clearly having a permanent store somewhere else. Remarkable how they can change a store so quickly I wonder if Louis Vuitton will move next door to this vacant store front next to The Hour Glass, or have a store inside ins...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Louis Vuitton are advertising for a store manager and sales staff. I assume a permanent store at Adelaide central plaza. The hour glass is due to open on Monday and will stock Bvlgari for the first time in Adelaide amongst other brands. Solid Gold Diamonds are moving to a new store in Gawler Place ...
