Re: Electrification and Resleepering of suburban rail networ
Dogs leg? what do you think the city circle and city loops are in Sydney and Melbourne? It's good that the state government are finally "officially" considering it, im sure if rail electrification has the same effect as renewing the Glenelg Line, then tens of thousands more people a...

Re: #Proposed - Castle Plaza redevelopment
hopefully the state government has the foresight to reserve space for their non-stop south road and a for new railway station for Edwardstown to replace the other two stations at Edwardstown and Woodlands Park. The possibility of an 'Edwardstown Interchange' sounds good! Replacing Woodlands Park an...

Don't want to sound like one of the "idiots" from AdelaideNow, but nearly a billion dollars to save a maximum of seven minutes? No, a billion dollars invested to save SA business's millions every year. Traffic congestion in Sydney is costing NSW millions everyday. Citylink is saving Vic b...

Re: #Proposed : Port Adelaide Tram Line
The tram could easily run alongside the edge of the park lands all the way to the OH corridor.
Why bother running it in the middle of Port road? Just have it going on the edge of bonython park. No traffic light hold-ups!

Re: 08/09 state budget announcements
Well from what I understand right - is that two lines, Outer Harbor and Noarlunga will become the electrified ones - for the moment. The order of 50 new electric trains would service these lines, and then from the existing fleet another 58 trains would be converted to electric, providing 108 trains...

Re: Keswick Terminal Upgrade
What a waste of money. We could had taken half of the train services out of the adelaide railway station and converted them to trams, then freed up heaps of room to provide an upgrade of the platforms and tracks for country services. Thats where the money should had went IMO. How many platforms are ...

[COM] Re: Oaklands Park Interchange
All our train lines should be made into trams except noarlunga and gawler and possibly outer harbor. However there should still be tram services running along noarlunga line upto brighton via marion shopping centre, along gawler line upto mawson lakes, and outer harbor up to pt adelaide. That way al...

if they are going up the frequency where are they going to get the trains from to do so From the train shop...................lol They will most likely reschedule the timetables so that all services stop at each HFS. Im not too sure if they will need many extra trains, if any at all? Did the Gawler...

Sounds like oaklands is the first confirmation that that Noarlunga will be getting "high frequency stations" similar to the gawler line. If so, the following will be HFS: Goodwood Woodlands Park Oaklands Brighton (Marino?) Hallet Cove Beach (Lonsdale?) Noarlunga Centre Yeah, but I dont th...

I don't know what is scarier, these residents controlling our future or the fact that some of them are still driving. Re: Adelaide Transport Woes
I know this is slightly off topic, maybe even relevent for a new thread. But what Aussie City in your opinion Will409 (and anyone else) has the best rail system??
If anyone feels this needs to be in another thread....then by all means put it there.
