Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands

Pics taken today 12/12 of the the Pakapakanthi Wetlands looking sensational. Massive fan of this project; the team that put it together did a great job, IMO. https://i.vgy.me/gsfIUs.jpg https://i.vgy.me/iIAQFf.jpg https://i.vgy.me/HovPoh.jpg https://i.vgy.me/e7G5qz.jpg Looks lovely! Some pictures here of the redesigned building: https://www.indaily.com.au/business/202 ... -new-plans much more boring imo
Much more boring but at least it seems like it will actually get built now, after hearing nothing for ages.

I hope this goes ahead - decent ground level design and a pretty elegant shape of the tower.
Agreed, I think its a positive outcome for the area, both in design and getting more workers to the area, right next to public transport connnections and also to boost the vibrancy of the plaza.

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million

I like the look of the second tower proposal. I think with the vicinity to ARS it's a good spot for commercial office space. the only thing I would be cautious about in such a prominent spot, is the design. I think it looks worthy of its position though, unlike Tower 1. Having the workers and studen...

Re: Forum Etiquette

Unfortunately the level of discourse on these forums is at an all time low. Just about every thread or topic I open up is a slanging match between a minor cohort of the same users over and over again. There was a time when I used to look forward to logging on and reading what news, photos and updat...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

The B777-200 are the oldest planes in the Emirates fleet, approx 14-17 years old. Emirates have 60+ A350 on order, deliveries commencing later this year I believe. They also have orders for B787-10. Both these planes are ideal to service Adelaide and I think it will not be too long down the track a...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Sounds to me like its a permanent change. The seasonal boost is in December and January only according to the article, while the 10 flights per week schedule begins in October. So if i'm reading this correctly, 10 flights per week year-round, boosted to twice daily in December and January only.

Also Renewal SA's project, Tapangka at the old bus depot on Franklin St, and the mixed use development at the former AusPost site on Grote St which applied for planning approval recently.

[PRO] Re: [VIS] 237 Grote Street - Former AusPost Site

95m seems quite high for that end of town... that must be right on the CASA limit The towers approved for behind the Newmarket Hotel were slightly over 100m iirc, and that is as close to flight paths as you can go in the CBD that's closer to the landing path, but the landing path doesn't fly over t...

[PRO] Re: [VIS] 237 Grote Street - Former AusPost Site

Application lodged yesterday: Great outcome! Done right and depending on the success of this development, we could see this being similar catalyst development to what Maras did with the East End in the years after the markets closed. There are so many neighbouring sites that could be turned over in...

Have been told piling is due to commence at the end of the month.
Excellent news! Grote St is going to be transformed.
