First Glasgow have a similar system which I used a few times and it's fine, as long as you have the QR code ready upon boarding.

It shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone that the free fares mixed with low frequencies would result in this overcrowding. It's half of why I didn't bother going to see the fireworks.

People in this thread advocate for electrification of that line all the time. It’s a bit of a stretch to say we’re not discussing that (whether it be health benefits or just good transport policy). Pending any other recommendations from traditional owner groups this is probably the best approach. Had there been any suggestion of this before development started? A memorial park seems like an appropriate solution if boundaries can be identified. Pioneer Park in Gawler is a park on a former ceme...

I agree fully with that article. Whilst I also agree with free public transport, in a context like Adelaide's it should be nowhere near the top of the priority list. People are willing to pay a reasonable amount for a good service like in many other cities.
