Off the top of my head, Grand Junction Road gets an on- and off-ramp.
Our state, our city, our future.

Yes, there are ramps at the Grand Junction Road intersection. Only Northbound On and Southbound off though, and the Superway will be 3 lanes each way north of GJR, to accomodate this extra traffic, and 2 lanes on the southern section.
Looking forward to a free-flowing Adelaide!

One of the ramps is there now, near the Caltex service station just past Grand Junction Road.
Further along at the Port expressway, there's a massive elevated section that you drive under at the moment.
If people thought it was massive before, they should go past it now.

Quite a view heading west down Grand Junction road, and up Days Road.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

November 9 images of Adelaide now up on nearmap showing progress.

North of Grand Junction Road, the South Road corridor is now completely unrecognisable from what it once was.

Took a few photos while I was driving through the other day. I never actually looked at the camera while taking them, so from about 15 photos, these are the best, and still a little blurry..
HEADING NORTH

At the start of the structure, looking up the ramp.

The structure just after Days Road. With moulds for connecting joints in place.

Approaching Grand Junction Road, with the launching truss visible.

New Wing Street connector to the left, and northern end sturcture ahead

The structure at the northern end, with most of the beams in place.

More detours are in place as of next Monday, Southbound, between Cormack and Grand Junction Roads, meaning the more pier construction can take place!

I seen on the original animated flythrough that the Superway was going to be grounded just north of the train line and McCormick Rd, then it was to plateau for about 100m, before joining up with the original overpass over the Port River Expressway. I'm glad that they chose to just fill in this area and get the Superway to join up with the Port River Expressway overpass, I think it just looks a lot asthetically better than the flythrough showed. (It also currently looks in this picture like an underground carpark from somewhere like Tea Tree Plaza or Marion) :P

Does anyone have any newer pics as to how it looks? I'm interested in the progress, but I live in the Southern Suburbs and I rarely get to go up there to have a look and the Infrastructure website hasn't been updated. :P

Also, does anyone know if it's going to be completed on schedule, or ahead? And while I'm at this game of 20 questions, what ever happened to the plan of creating a Northern Connector to join the Superway north of the Port River Expressway with the Northern Expressway?

Cheers heaps guys!

Thats right, I forgot it did go back to ground level. Much better this way I think.

No new pics as of yet, but I am probably going through the route on the weekend, I'll try to take a few more. Was only there a couple of weeks ago though and the changes are barely noticeable now, as they are now focusing on installing more segments.

No idea if they're on schedule or not. I would think so, I haven't heard of any major hold-ups.

AFAIK, The plan of joining to the Northern Connector is still active, but the earliest the NC would commence construction (assuming federal funding approved) would be 2016/7. So unless this new northern end has changed other plans, the interchange should be relatively easy (in terms of destroying current structure) to add on to.

Hope this helps. :)
Looking forward to a free-flowing Adelaide!

Northern Connector is likely to be built in two stages, the first stage from the PR Expressway to Globe Derby Park, and then the second stage from Globe Derby Park to the Northern Expressway. Rumour has it that the rail component of the project has now been cancelled altogether for the time being, although they will still build the road corridor with the provision for the rail corridor at a much later date.

When something's cancelled altogether for the time being, that's called Postponement.
cheers,

Technicality. :P

Anyways, in all likelihood, the Northern Connector won't actually be completed until the latter part of this decade, possibly the early 2020s.
