COM: Northern Expressway | 22km
Re: COM: Northern Expressway | 22km
I travelled along the Northern Expressway yesterday to/from the Barossa Valley.
Not sure if this has been covered before but why does the cycle/pedestrian shared pathway alongside the Expressway have sections with lighting, then no lighting for a few kilometres then the lighting reappears for another stretch of pathway, only to disappear a few kms further on?

If you were driving at night, you would have noticed the lights were blue. As far as I know, this is actually around the flight path (for small planes) and these lights are just to warn pilots that they are going over the road and surrounds and to just raise height if getting too low. There are also a few lights on the bridge over the Gawler River.
Someone else please correct me if I'm wrong

Looking forward to a free-flowing Adelaide!
