You've got to be kidding!??
If you're the type of person who goes looking for those touristy towers, then yeah, Aukland has one, but it also has a fantastic mix of archetecture, a much denser CBD than we have, a beautiful and busy waterfont right at the edge of the CBD, 27 (extinct)volcanoes, a harbour bridge (either the last or the highest of it's kind ever built - I forget which right now), freeways from the northern and southern suburbs to the edge of the CBD ....
Sorry, but I think our
CBD has some way to go before we should start comparing it to Aukland.
And then there's Christchurch. New Zealanders compare Christchurch to Adelaide. When I got to Christchurch, I nearly cried for poor old Adelaide - Christchurch is
so much like Adelaide, and is easily New Zealand's most boring city!
