When will they just bite the bullet and admit the Apple Store is going to be there? I mean, it's literally all but confirmed!

The Ted Baker store is looking amazing. It's huge Aswell. Will see if I can get some pics later.

Pretty sure the DA for the Apple store with the CoA is pretty good confirmation - $2.5 million dollar fitout

Got off the bus on Grenfell Street in the City, Rundle Place looks fresh and pretty good, love the front it stands out in a good way unlike the old building. I can't wait to walk inside it and check out the new Harris Scarfe and Coles

Wish they'd do something about the office portion of the Myer facade, it's looking more nasty each year. Pics from flickr:

Wish they'd do something about Myer all together! The building is in-your-face ugly. The yellow panelling is awful, fades as the building ages; the clock is irrelevant, you can't see it? Not to mention the interior is looking more and more dated by the year. The only three recommendations I could make:UrbanSG wrote:Wish they'd do something about the office portion of the Myer facade, it's looking more nasty each year.
1. Bulldoze the entire building and start again - Impractical..
2. Travel back in time, halt the demolition of the beautiful building that once stood and take the plans back to the drawing board to incorporate the old Rundle Mall building into the design - Not possible, unfortunately.
3. Sell the building to a private investor, get an entire re-fit-out of the Myer Centre (including the Myer store), restructure the building to allow better pedestrian flow throughout the entire building, and use the Brisbane Myer Centre as a model for such a re-vamp - Both of Melbourne's CBD Myer stores were sold, one was closed, the other was re-vamped to allow a more traffic flow, and a more upmarket appeal.
Sorry to break off topic! Go on with the HS Building!

That glass is pure sex.
If it was all over the exterior (including Rundle Mall), it would easily be the best looking shopping complex in Adelaide.

Just a few days to go then. Hope it's all fully leased and all stores open for opening day.

Went for a walk around the city to have a look, and my impression that it does look a bit better in real life. Though the new Ted Baker (I'm guessing?) is coming up very nicely and the recent HS photos look good aswell.

APPLE'S first retail store in South Australia will open its doors later this month.
The company has been notoriously cagey about its plans, but today confirmed its first Adelaide store would open to the public on Tuesday, March 26 at 10am, "just in time for Easter".
The store is located in the new home of Harris Scarfe, the Rundle Place Development in Rundle Mall.
The company said the store would feature a ``Genius Bar'', offering free technical support and advice.
It is Apple's first store in SA and its 18th in Australia.
Last month, the Rundle Mall Management Authority confirmed Apple was coming to the Mall, ending a year of speculation.
The City Messenger reported the store fitout had a price tag of $2.5 million - vastly more than other retailers in the Runde Place development were spending on their shops.
Next Tuesday, the public is invited to a block party in Rundle Mall to celebrate the opening of Rundle Place.
On Monday, adelaidenow readers were given an exclusive sneak peek inside the new Harris Scarfe store ahead of the official opening.
