I stand by my comment. Apart from a water feature, decorative paving and some different trees, what else can you add to a plaza?

Apart from some windows, a few decorative features, and some lights, what else can you add to a facade?

I actually think the new Moseley Square will be great. Though it has recieved some criticism based on some fairly primitave looking renders, I can visualise it as being much nicer than the quality of the renders show and more importantly, I can see it as being a huge improvement over the current daggy, cracked an old state of the square. A little more colour wouln't hurt tho.

Btw, are there any new updates of this development? I havent heard of much happening recently and I didn't notice much of a change when I was last there.

Moseley Square is complete and it stinks

I think there are too many palm trees. It makes the square too
crowded. Also it would have been better if they included
an amphitheatre where buskers could perform.

Also the water feature is not working yet. If anyone wants to have a look at how crappy moseley square is then send me an email and
I can send you my photos back.

The water features are probably off because of the water restrictions. It's the same in the city at the moment.

That plan shows an amphitheatre. Did they change the design?

Actually greg i read an article in the messenger saying that the official opening of the fountain will be today at 4 or 5pm. So if anyone has a chance go check it out. Personally I dont think the square is that bad. Everyone that ive been down there with has seemed to like it. Sure it could have been a lot better, but you could say that about anything. Surprisingly the local council only spent like 2mll on this project with the state government contributing another 1 million, which i dont think is all that much for the redevelopment of an entire square. Meh, each to his own i guess...

That does not surprise, this state is renowned for spending jack all on things...

Sorry about this guys but I've changed my opinion on this now..... I was down there tonight when there where some people in the square and the fountain was working.....It was really nice....A lot of people were amused by the fountain !

Also in regard to the photos its too hard to get them onto this site, as they cannot be uploaded directly.

Some shots I took today. I couldn't hang around for the 'opening' and turning on of the water feature, but it looked really interesting. It's the type that tourists walk into and get trapped, something new for Adelaide.

i like it
that tram terminus is amazingly simple
london is trying to get a north/south tram and the terminus will have to have fencing etc because the english cant be trusted
might show your photo to some colleagues -
