It will have a focus on fashion apparently. How exciting.
Oh well. I suppose people will vote with their wallets.

Let's see. Fun, adventure, dining, unusual and interesting items, gifts, entertainment, gadgets, education, health, history, homewares, interactive experiences, sports, leisure, recreation and basically almost anything else that people can spend money on!Waewick wrote:what else do you focus on in a mall?
I don't know whether your question was meant sarcastically, but just in case it was a serious question, there's my answer!

How often do you go to a "shopping mall" with a focus on dining? And I spare you for the rest of them.pushbutton wrote:Let's see. I didn't say a mall should FOCUS on dining. Just that it should have a good mix of all the above (and more). A focus on fashion will only appeal to those who are into fashion (obviously) and even then it won't appeal as much as it used to as more and more people who are into fashion are buying it online.

Saw plans for the area outside the cafe (Brunelli) to be an enclosed adventure playground, water features etc probably good so people can dine and let kids run around and scream outside.

Almost sounds good, but I have a feeling you're just joking and even if you're not that the adventure playground would be no good to anyone over the age of about 14. There just isn't enough space in the design for a decent adventure playground. Nice idea though.how good is he wrote:Saw plans for the area outside the cafe (Brunelli) to be an enclosed adventure playground, water features etc probably good so people can dine and let kids run around and scream outside.

Oh ok, so it is a kids playground then. Hmm. Well I wasn't really expecting anything more so that's ok. Would be wonderful to have a real adventure playground that everyone can enjoy in Adelaide though.
I know there are one or two such as St Kilda, but they're very dated and lame.
Monash is maybe a bit more up to date, but still extremely basic.
I wouldn't expect a Westfield mall to have an amazing adventure playground, but I have seen malls with high ropes courses and that's something that doesn't necessarily have to take up a lot of space.

I thought Monash got downgraded years ago due to safety problems.pushbutton wrote:Oh ok, so it is a kids playground then. Hmm. Well I wasn't really expecting anything more so that's ok. Would be wonderful to have a real adventure playground that everyone can enjoy in Adelaide though.

Also the only adults that use St Kilda these days are parents.

Wait, so you haven't been there, but are still able to dismiss them as "dated and lame"?pushbutton wrote:Oh. I haven't been there so didn't know that. How sad.

My age has nothing to do with it, I am young enough to enjoy having fun!
