I don't see anything wrong with the shape of that building! The construction quality will decide if it looks good or bad.

Summary - Whilst the building is not a stunner, it's different!
Agree with the above. :) It appears designed for purpose and i'ts overall look is not offensive. Not every site can be a landmark stunning architectural masterpiece.

I suppose something short and stumpy is more Adelaide?
This is short. It doesn't even crack the 50m barrier.

While true, it'd be nice if one or two actually could be though.

Still waiting to be gobsmacked by something with a legitimate chance of actually being built.

This height width ratio is shared by the proposed 25 floor block in KWS Nth. I like the look and... not THAT BAD in external design .

Is work still progress on this ?

There was an article on the news a few nights ago saying that international student numbers in Adelaide
have reduced over the last couple of years as a result of the strong Aussie Dollar.

I'd say so... Gilbert St has a pile of road works around this site today which I'll take as a good sign that progress beyond clearing the site is imminent.

The building next door on Gilbert Street has just been sold. Maybe the delay with construction is due to plans to expand it's size?

Give it up. I tried for ages to get him to put it in his signature line. Then he put "Jack" in there

What's the problem guys?? It all works - easy to find as well amongst a lot of posts over several pages if I have been away etc etc - then I can pick up on what I have said.

And yes. I type it out for each post. I love Adelaide but think- as we mostly all do - it could do with some vertical development. I find South Aussies great people - why not have a great 'signature' for a top city as well. Also I find this forum excellent to keep up with what is happening. Thanks Mono for your valuable contributions.

And here it is... ADELAIDE - TOWARDS A GREATER CITY SKYLINE
