From the render it looks like something will be built immediately west of this some time.

Thanks for that Pants. Conservatory on Hindmarsh looks huge in that first render. The two proposed office towers have a big impact too. If both these developments go ahead Hindmarsh Square will be completely transformed. There will be some nice eastern views of the city.

Just to clear up some issues:

This development is composed of 2 separate buildings.

Both buildings will be 15 levels. The western tower will be 55m tall, whereas the smaller eastern tower will be 54m tall.

Just received an information pack on this development. It is officially called Aurora on Pirie (don't exactly know whether that is both buildings or just one of them). This building features "spectacular rooftop with state of the art gym, lap pool, sauna, multi-functional meeting rooms, function centre and sculpturally landscaped gardens."

The official website has been launched http://www.auroraonpirie.com.au/

There are too many images on there to post but looking at the quality and speed of this launch, Urban Construct are quite confident about this proposal proceeding.

NB. On the back of the brochure there is a small image gallery of Urban Construct's other developments and has an updated render of The Precinct along with the newly designed Gallery and newly designed talls in the background. Will try and post soon.

Thanks Pistol78 and Howie for the updates. Urban Construct really don't waste any time on their projects. I like the sound of newly designed Precinct images Pistol with new talls, really want to see those images.

Lucky KPMG House has a blank facade on the western side eh? Makes you think they knew back then that something was to be built on this site that would overshadow them.

They add a lot of bulk to that end of town.

I might post some of this on SSC Howie as the SA Subforum is looking pretty ordinary at the moment.

I really like that. Should add some nice height to the area.

Is one of those buildings on the site of THE original Fasta Pasta?

No, I don't think they have that building - there's still one small building between this project and Hyde St from what I can work out. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
cheers,
Rhino
