I do love how Col. Light now points directly at the stadium. Visitors will be scatching their heads.

Not the most up to date vid, but a great one to show what's happening beneath the stands.
In FiveAA's pics you can see a slightly blue tinge on the northern section of the roof on the eastern stand, is that some special glass they're putting in or just something to do with construction?

Those photos were taken just over a day before these set of photos from Chief Crow on Big Footy. The photos from Chief Crow were taken on Thursday last week.Port Adelaide Fan wrote:Adelaide Oval Progress Tour

Again, a very impressive place. The size is far bigger than I thought, and well put together - strong continuity, but not a solid structure like the Gabba. Breaks add interest. North side also adds significantly to the uniqueness of AO.
BTW - Will AO remain the name or will this get changed?

Adelaide Oval will not have it's naming rights sold - I believe there's actually legislation against this.skyliner wrote:Again, a very impressive place. Just a question.... How do people get access into the oval. I tried a few weeks ago and was turned back.
[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m
The only access is through the Northern gates, turn immediately left and then head up to the hill. They did close all access for a week or two as they are also rebuilding this enttrance, so you might of been unlucky. Try again, its quite a sight.

That video screen is huge !!!!
Surely the other 2 will be smaller.

It's like an old Palsonic 10" CRT being replaced by a 60" Full HD plasma!ghs wrote:That video screen is huge !!!!

Yes, but they won't be tiny by any stretch of the imagination.ghs wrote:That video screen is huge !!!!

The one on the hill is 180m2, the ones between the stands at the other end will be 125m2.
Old replay screen 80m2.
