We also have wires at Adelaide yard. one return and one earth, they run to mile end.

Escalators have also arrived, and the sparks team have moved from 1 & 2 platforms, to 3 & 4

Wires are through to South Rd

One of the pictures seems very close to Columbia Crescent - I wonder if this was on purpose LOL. I doubt those residents are whinging now, with these sleek quiet trains going past.

None of the pictures are very close to Columbia Crescent, and those residents were never whinging about the line being electrified, but rather expressing a valid concern about its poor design unnecessarily blocking their views and adversely affecting the value of their houses.

And sleek quiet trains going past count for nothing until they actually start carrying passengers!

This picture is the one of talking about, can anyone tell me the location of it?
It looks like Cherub street - right near Hallett Cove Beach station, which is only a few hundred meters north of Columbia crescent. (photo taken on the cove road bridge).

Ah the media are a joke.. a "Secret Test" of Adelaide's new trains, not sure how it's a secret when it's all over the transport departments websites, facebook and twitter

I can confirm the location. But "only a few hundred metres" is not very close.

In the concept of 20km of track was covered between Seaford and Brighton I would say 0.4km is very close. Maybe a thesaurus would help http://thesaurus.com/browse/very+close

I doubt its really secret I mean all you have to do is go up and one of the signalling or electrification crew contractors and ask them about any possible test trains running. There is absolutely no reason as to why they wont tell you since gunzelers are usually only after pictures and videos of the test and nothing else.

Usually its very easy to get this type of information from the contractors you see on the line by just going up to them and asking them (I believe some railpage member done just that a day beforehand and they told him about the upcoming electric train test the following day) so I dont know why the media keeps using the words "secret test"

It's at least 0.6km, with a station and a section on embankment in between. In the context of the section of line through Hallett Cove, where all these photos were taken, it's not very close at all.
