Welcome to Sensational-Adelaide Forum v3

#1 Post by Howie » Thu May 31, 2007 12:26 pm

Welcome to the third incarnation of the SA Forums. :)

With this new version of the forums, there are new features such as :
- friend/foe lists
- attachments
- better private messaging
- a better interface
- support for dynamic content such as youtube videos
- and so on..

Please leave your feedback/criticisms of the forum here, so I can do my best to address any issues.

btw, to use youtube links

Code: Select all

aCZyienzMlk being the video id.

Looks shiney. Is it possible to have the user details on the left rather than the right?

certainly is, but i believe in this version the aim was to keep the focus on the post rather than the poster. Perhaps we should give it a try for a few weeks, if it's still no good we can swap it to the left.

Ah thats why S-A was offline this morning.

Looks not bad, but I agree on the details being moved back to the left hand side.

Looks good Howie, except that I find it hard to see a list of new posts. Good to see that there are no more scraper dollars!

OK for some reason when I first opened up SA today it would not show me the latest posts, but now it does. Congratulations Howie I love it... Your doing a bang up job!

Is the friends/foe feature, the ignore thing I was asking about last week?

Looks nice, good work.

I really like the new colours and the new format, but I agree that the user details should be shifted back to the left. Maybe we'll eventually get used to it, but after years of having the details on the left, a new formate does confuse you.

Looks good; my only gripe is the banner up the top. Looks cheap if you ask me, and very temporary... But maybe it is? :P.

Yep you guessed it... it's 'very' temporary! Just needed something to cover up the default banner... but i'm hoping to better integrate it with a new set of graphics i've been working on for the rest of the website.

I for one love the new look - especially the user details on the right. I want the info more than who posted it :D .

I have to get used to it, but so far it's alright... I agree with the User Panel shift to the left, if possible :)

Nice work Howie. I think Adelaide owes you a big pat on the back for keeping this forum fresh.
