I dare say they will. But I'm not 100% sure how, given this is the access-way for the Pitch Transporter.
Perhaps a larger opening and permanent but removable ramp/stairway? Given it will only need to be removed twice a year for pitch removal, and maybe once or twice for say a concert stage set-up or something.

Virtual stadium says this will be come seating section with a ramp to the back

http://portadelaidefc.io-media.com/#/vr/Section/100/F/7

Another interesting section is the southern end of the Western stand where the first row of seating is sitting above the new ground level by about 50-60cm. This also looks like it will be changed on the virtual venue....

Also where the ground staff had their vehicles / tractors parked during the test between the southern and eastern stands will become a tunnel through to the underneath of the southern stand level B2

I was wondering what is the seating capacity of each stand - I know there's 53,500 seats - but is there like one massive stand and two smaller ones? It's hard to tell from photos since they have giant roof structures.

I'm being pedantic, but that's only 52,500.

It is too... bad maths by be haha
Well I know the eastern and northern bits are correct, Either the Western or Riverbank Stand has 15,000 or both have 14,500. It's around the mark anyway

The first 3 are correct. I believe it's 3,500 on the hill, 3,000 in the seating bowl. Well according the Crows it is.

Interesting that they have taken out all of the grass they popped in at the southern end. They must have required that construction vehicle path to be put back in.

No actual grass was laid there...that whole area of dirt where the cranes etc go was covered in black tarpaulins during the Ashes.

Southern end, grass went right up to the edge of the stand. Nothing has changed on the eastern side, I realise that.

Only along the eastern stand. Southern end was grassed in:

Was thinking the same! AO looks fantastic!! It looks like the classiest stadium in Aust. WACA looked so unorganised. My wife said it looked like a country place.

I agree 100%.

WA is really behind the times with the WACA. Shocking venue.

"Oh but it is the last traditional cricket ground in the Test schedule - it's not a concrete stadium AND it has a traditional pitch!" - says every WACA-fan :P
