Quest signage is already up on this building and lit up at night time.

Went on a big walk today and got heaps of photos of this and some other developments:
Northern wall with the big Quest signage:
16-level Render of the building when you walk past it through the tunnel thingy:
Southern Wall, reminded my friends a bit of a game of Tetris:
Couple of Western wall shots:

South Australia
Quest King William South
379 King William Street, Adelaide SA 5000
Opening June 2014
That's the info on their website. This one seems pretty on track to a June opening, looking at the pictures that have been uploaded onto this site.
Can't wait for this side of the city to be up and bustling!

Is this mean to be same like the Quest on Franklin? All service apartment?

Now pretty much completely uncovered. Still working internally but externally looks almost done.

Awesome pic Phenom! I reckon this will look awesome once KWS fills out.
I thought that those top two levels on the KWS side were going to look kinda tacky, but it doesn't look as bad as I thought, thankfully. Also, I actually qute like the idea of Quest's logo being placed sideways on the building, rather than running down it or simply being at the top. It looks a lot more sleeker from the angle you took the picture from this way.
I'd love to know what would be Adelaide City's current population capacity. Narrow buildings like this don't seem to be able to house too many people, but you'd be surprised. If anyone remembers the Urbanest buildings on North Tce that look kinda similar to this, both of those can over 500 together. I guess I just think it's kinda cool how that works out, you know?

That's a horrible insult. This building is much nicer. The Urbanest look like modern commie-blocks while this building is aesthetically pleasing, granted the northern wall is a little bit ugly. Agree that the signage is pretty cool, sleek and not too in-your-face.Phantom wrote:Awesome pic Phenom! I reckon this will look awesome once KWS fills out.

A nice addition to the growing southern skyline. It should be nice to hopefully see New Mayfair and Vue join it soon.
Also, I think it's a little bit closer to 55m in height than 50m. Assuming that the big blue glass box opposite it is 47m (isn't it?), this is noticeably taller. Maybe it's just me, but could this be true?

Odd. I'll take your word for it, but I'm pretty sure the difference in height between this building and 374-400 KWS is more noticeable than 3 metres, even factoring in that little bit of roof on the 374 KWS which is a bit higher than the rest of the roof. I posted a picture of the Adelaide skyline from the Air Apartments in the pictures section which if you zoom into, it clearly shows that 379 KWS is actually quite a bit taller (maybe not the best proof since it lost a bit of quality when I uploaded it). Maybe 374-400 KWS is a bit shorter than 47m. If not, I guess it's just an added bonus that this building looks taller than it actually is. But it's not really a big issue anyway, so I won't press it any further. Will wrote: No, the building is 50m. I have the plans.

It is much taller, 55m sounds correct to me. Easily noticeable from standing in Victoria Square..
