The basement excavation is complete and piling has begun for footings. Picture taken today 23 Oct 2013. Could have a crane base . (sorry about the railings in the picture but the excavation goes right up to the footpath.)

This project is to have 2 basement levels .Picture shows work on the lower basement level at Sunday 15 Dec 2013. There is no sign of any crane base . All the work so far has been done by mobile cranes.

$290k for 72sqm in the CBD, that is super good bargain if it is true.

Unfortunately, I think the advertisment in realestate.com is misleading. The apartment in the ad (even at level 1) is actually starting from $356k, according to the price list from the agent.

Having siad that, I think the apartment is fairly priced at $356k, explains why this development has moved some of its stock while other projects don't.

Let me put it this way... Aria is built by a Chinese developer. Marketed by a Chinese real estate company, nearly half of those units sold were bought by mainland Chinese buyers and most interestingly Aria doesn't have a 4th floor. I think it's obvious why Aria has been the most successful project ( in terms of sales) among all the other CBD apartment projects launched in the last couple of years. I also understand that most of the units that were sold in Aria are NOT for owner occupied stay.

I think it is great. Overseas investment is positive especially in a market which was nearly killed by poor projects.

Hopefully once people get an idea of what can be built demand increases

Looks as though the foundation for a crane base is going on the footpath adjoining this site. There were four new piles sunk in a square alignment over the weekend.

The first section of the crane tower (hammer head type) is in place but the base needs to be formed up and concreted into a solid cube of concrete so the crane is still a week or 2 away yet. The actual tower is located on the existing foot path .Picture taken 22 Feb 2014.

The tower sections were erected on Wednesday and Thursday and the crane was almost complete today. Will try to get a picture over the weekend.
