I'm not knocking the technology and the information it gives, I'm only questioning the way the information is presented as I can see many mistakes and questionable decisions.

Rubbish Nathan-the important information that commuters need is very well laid out and clear.Get on a bus and go see for yourself.
Customer feedback has been excellent on them.

The new TTP Parking station open next Monday 13th January.It will provide parking for 700 cars-for those using their MetroCard then a bus the fee will be $2.
For those casual parkers who do not have a Metrocard the fee will be $10.

A 500m tunnel to take buses from Hackney Road to Rundle Road, cutting four minutes off travel time, was promised by the Labor Government today.

Premier Jay Weatherill said a Labor Government “will progress planning in 2014/15 with the aim to complete construction by 2017?.

Odd resurfacing it along Rundle Rd. Why not run it under Rymill Park (along the same alignment as the former tram line), to surface for the Grenfell St/East Tce intersection. The left right nature is the biggest issue at the moment with the bus lanes.

Is it going to be a lowered road at a different grade to Hackney and Rundle Rd (but still open to the sky above), or a complete tunnel? If it's actually a tunnel, then I agree with you Nathan.

no but seriously, it should avoid all bottlenecks etc. Given the likely hood og Labor winning however I'm not surprised about the lack of detail in the proposal.

This should really be combined with an underpass of the Ring Road under North Terrace to get the cars out of the city and around the Ring Road.

It's a ridiculous proposal and an exorbitant waste of money. $160m is far better off going towards finishing off the electrification of the Gawler rail line.

So it's take me since only 2008 to crack 200 posts...

I concur with this. Much needed. Over these hot days there's been a significant number of train delays (no, that rhyme was not intentional).

Ideally the O-Bahn will in the not too distant future be converted to some form of rail and, also ideally, connect directly with Adelaide Railway Station and a City Loop.

Images. A few problems I can immediately see - the North bound entrance completely blocks of Rundle Park except at the intersections. The pedestrian crossing across to King William Rd is a popular one for both pedestrians and cyclists, and an important link. Second, the mish mash of multiple bus lanes, slip lanes, and parking on Rundle Rd. Adelaide motorists struggle on Rundle Rd as it is.

Edit: Also, the crossing of the Adelaide Parklands Trail across Rundle Rd. That would become super dangerous now as bus could appear out of the tunnel at any moment, and you wouldn't be able to see it until it's pretty damn close to the crossing.

Too unambitious IMO - the buses shouldn't waste time running down Hackney Road at all. We should follow Brisbane's example and build a bus tunnel directly into the heart of the City, with a bus station under the Myer Centre!

Tell you what would be a cheaper option that could offer similar time savings for a fraction of the cost.

Run the buses down Botanic Drive & Frome Road in bus-only lanes similar to the existing 7am-7pm Currie / Grenfell format.

Election gimmick and a waste of taxpayer's money which will only generate a few jobs for a limited period. Better to spend the money on improving surrounding PT so we can get more cars off the road. The O-bahn service will get quicker if there's less traffic in the way. Otherwise if you want tunnels let's spend the money properly and have rail (heavy or light) into the city and beyond. My :2cents:
