According to some people construction is starting in July which is only 3 weeks away.

Have a look at vision on morphett for example which is a smaller project. That development
was first proposed 3 years ago and we still don't have a crane on site.

The commencement of construction is essentially determined by sales. Sales at developments like Vision on Morphett have been slow, hence the delays. Vue is a different beast. Sales here are strong. In fact I went down to the sales centre 2 weeks ago, and was told that 60% of apartments had already been sold. Financing is usually secured when sales reach 70%.

I went to the sales office today and the salesman said construction should start end of July / early
August. Keep in mind he is a sales man. Completion is expected by March 2016.

I would say August most likely. Like everyone else here, I can't wait. This is sure to be the next architectural landmark building in Adelaide.

Some interesting info from an article pubished in the Advertiser:

Starfish’s latest acquisition follows the successful Vue project which has sold out more than 80 per cent of its 207 apartments.

The tower will span 28 storeys after recent approval of an extra floor, with early construction works due to commence later this month.

So, the building is now 28 levels and 89m.

I reckon the extra floor (and extra 3m) would make this our fifth tallest.

Correct. Spires are considered an integral part of the structure of a building, thus CCT1 is technically 99m tall.

Depending on the equipment, it would probably be doing geotechnical investigations for detailed design purposes.

Absolutely fabulous!! Can't wait to see this all done. The interest level in purchasing apartments here really encourages concerning high rise residential blocks in the CBD. As with all real estate, location, location, location.
