Surely this would be a more appropriate site for a new Adelaide High School. It is the other side of the city to the current school. It is close to the Parklands for sport. It is more accessible for parents and students. It does not have a derelict old hospital on site. It will not turn the Botanic Gardens into a school yard. It will allow the Universities room to grow on North Tce. It is available for development now, not in 2017.

Re: New Adelaide High School
My preferred site is still where Tandanya & the east end sub-station are (despite the difficulties that presents), but that's not a bad location either. It's near a large number of bus routes up Pulteney St and walking distance from the South Tce tram stop. There's easy access to sporting ovals in the parklands (something the RAH site does not). And it's not near an area that needs constant flow of people like Rundle St (since a high school doesn't provide that).

It's a good location, but the site is a bit small. And right next to Pulteney Grammar to cheese them off.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.
Re: New Adelaide High School
Why do we need a new high school? Is there a shortage of desks and classrooms? I always thought the problem was not enough teachers. Therefore wouldn't it be wiser to invest more money in staff levels?
Wouldn't it be smarter to expand existing buildings at existing schools, to fit more classrooms, with smaller student/teacher ratios?
