[CAN] [The Precinct] | 58m | 5 x 18lvls | Apartments
[CAN] Re: CAN: [The Precinct] 5x | 60m | 18lvls | Residential
Will's image didn't seem to upload properly so I thought I would post the image from the
Brown Falconer website.
Obviously this image is just a rough draft at this stage. I am not sure if the taller building is
the Altitude building or a new building.

That taller building is definitely Altitude.

Interesting to see that photo including CommBank, Vodafone and Kwix Stix
Positive sign of something about to happen?

Just stock images to fill the void. Anyway besides, locking in small retail tenancies won't bring this development to fruition -- that'll fall down to apartment sales.crawf wrote:Interesting to see that photo including CommBank, Vodafone and Kwix Stix

So they're still keeping the corner as dead space?
[CAN] Re: CAN: [The Precinct] 5x | 60m | 18lvls | Residential
Atleast the retail will activate the street frontage unlike the gallery building which did the opposite by setting back and raising it half a level.

A speculative proposal for the Precinct site by JPE:
[CAN] Re: [The Precinct] 5x | 60m | 18lvls | Apartments
Some machinery currently on site along the Franklin Street side of this site... Looks like that side about to get tidied up.
[CAN] Re: [The Precinct] 5x | 60m | 18lvls | Apartments
This recent photo from realestate.com, reveals that the 2 storey building currently on site is being demolished:
[CAN] Re: [The Precinct] 5x | 60m | 18lvls | Apartments
Why would they be demolishing that building already ?
We don't even have a proposal for the site at the moment.

Just noticed that mock up by JPE. What are they thinking for the Franklin Street frontage. One massive blank concrete wall? I am shocked if that design is something they are actually proposing.
[CAN] Re: [The Precinct] 5x | 60m | 18lvls | Apartments
You would think that photo was taken in a country town. Bring on development!
Don't stress. Look againBen wrote:Just noticed that mock up by JPE. What are they thinking for the Franklin Street frontage. One massive blank concrete wall? I am shocked if that design is something they are actually proposing.
GROUND FLOOR ACTIVATION
The ground floor and associated public outdoor spaces are activated by fringe retail facilities. Shops and restaurants are proposed along both Franklin and Elizabeth Street facing out toward the street frontage, but also inward to the public plaza areas, activating the entire precinct.

So they removed the 2 x 7 foot tall mounds of dirt which were lying around on the franklin st side since the completion of altitude. Drill rig on site this morning doing some sort of soil testing.
[CAN] Re: [The Precinct] 5x | 60m | 18lvls | Apartments
I believe that Brown Falconer are designing the new building(s) not JPE.
In terms of the dirt being removed, I would imagine they are making room for a showroom.
