Flexibility of egress and ingress would be a big issue.
The guide pack itself would add a lot of weight to the vehicle. Also I think fire engines would be a bit heavier than buses, track might not handle it.

Not sure what the speed restrictions are on ambulances and MFS appliances when their off to an emergency/job. What's the speed limit on the obahn for buses?
What would happen when an ambulance catches up to a bus? On the roads vehicles have to move out of the way(if possible/safe) for an emergency vehicle with lights/and or sirens on. That clears up the road ahead for them. On the obahn this obviously wouldn't be possible since it's a single track in each direction. Emergency vehicles also have the option of crossing over the median strip to get around a traffic bottleneck when it's a serious emergency.

In any case I don't think a fire engine from the city station will be rushing off to fight a fire in the NE Suburbs unless it's a massive fire emergency and they need more appliances. There's fire stations and ambulance stations dotted around the suburbs, that's why they get there quickly and not half an hour or more later.

Have not laughed that hard in ages.

Even in those pictures the space they're highlighting looks relatively small.

I think they've shot themselves in the foot with some of those pictures.

In the dot point about that one, they claim they agree with the government on increasing PT usage.

They are complaining that just over a month for the public to bitch and moan is too short a time. Sorry, but imo 36 days is long enough for fringe groups to have their pointless, narrow minded, self centered say on why progress shouldn't occur.
Despite the lack of any identified statutory approval to date, geo-technical testing
commenced soon afterwards - as observed on 24 March:
DPTI therefore has left little doubt that public feedback appears irrelevant to the
Government's prior decision to proceed.
They have a picture of a drilling rig taking soil samples in the parklands.
Apparently that's a sign that the government doesn't care about public consultation.
While it could be a sign that the project is going ahead, it could also be an indication that preparation is taking place in order to allow the project to commence should it be given final approval(or whatever the process is).
Soil testing does not mean that the bulldozers are about to move in like this fringe group tries to imply.
Several APPA members have been unable to make submissions to DPTI on this proposal.
There have been persistent recent reports of attempts to make submissions, which have
been met with this error message:

I had a good chuckle at this bit.
They would have us believe that the government is filtering out their individual submissions.
I'm sure there's unmarked vans parked in their streets as well for days on end with no sign of activity and black helicopters flying over their houses late at night as well. Maybe they are being followed on a daily basis by "government agent" type looking men? :hilarious:

They've now also got a Facebook Page with 600 Likes. I just ripped them about their content which is all falsefied and people commenting on their wall saying further misleading rubbish. If the groups opposing this proposal win like they did with theVictoria Park grandstand, I will actually consider leaving Adelaide permanently - these kinds of groups are poisonous.

Similarly a protest in the mall had ten or so oldies holding signs and talking to the media. How is it that the media in this city can't have a reporter to cover on real issues but can spare a reporter to rock up to these stupid protests?

Was an article in the paper a couple days ago from Theo Maras calling for the O-Bahn extension to be scrapped and money redirected into affordable housing in the city.

Public opinion on this one seems to be changing quickly - more people are realising it has little tangible benefit to anyone other than bus commuters from the North East, and comes at a very expensive cost considering other budget and infrastructure priorities at the moment.

Theo rightly pointed out it was a blatant vote-grabbing project, which is debatable, but in my view - probably solely responsible for handing Labor victory at the March 2014 election.

I wouldn't be surprised if this one gets shelved or re-prioritised , in favour of the EastLink tram proposal, which in part has been tied into this - considering the realignment of Rundle Road and those associated infrastructure works. They could save face that way.
