What a tragic day not only in the world of football but in South Australia with the murder of Crows coach Phil Walsh.
How do you process something like this?
How, as a player, do you turn up to your club in the morning to hear your coach, someone you would've seen a little over 12 hours prior, has been murdered?
Glad to see the Adelaide v Geelong game abandoned out of respect - there is no way the Crows players could be ready for that game.
Also, what a wonderful gesture by Collingwood and Hawthorn at the end of their match.

RIP Phil Walsh

Re: RIP Phil Walsh
I really do hope that whoever killed 'Walshie' is going to spend the rest of his entire life behind solid metal bars, starve & dehydrate to death for the rest of his life and rot in hell!
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

Re: RIP Phil Walsh
One of the saddest days in AFL's history and for the state. Truly tragic, and really hits even harder when Phil was murdered by his own flesh in blood. I cannot fathom the pain his wive is currently going through, and their daughter who was on holidays in USA. What a horrible long flight that would be coming back home so soon.
It dominated the national news yesterday, and I'm sure it will continue to dominate as this horrendous crime is brought to justice. Though some of the journalism (cough Sunrise) was ridiculous yesterday. I saw snippets of footage from Facebook and heard the words 'big country town' (rant for another time!) and acted like Adelaide was going to crumble. Sure it's rocked the city and it's extremely sad, but seriously. I was in the city yesterday, and it was like any other day.
One thing that is different..

50 hours since it happened and I still feel sick about it.
