The comment is incorrect and unfounded, subbies not getting paid has NOTHING to do with off plan salesboony87 wrote:Can some clarify something and let me know if this is right?
Sturt land are the owner of the site & is where purchasers have deposits too?
Tagara is the developer who has been subcontracted to complete the work?
Sturt land still retains the deposits in a trust account not accessible to any legal proceedings?
As tagara has gone into liquidation will Sturt land just find another developer to complete the rest of the project?
As an owner of a stage 1 apartment I really feel sorry about the contractors who haven't been paid. Reading into it further, it seems to be a common theme in off the plan buildings.

I noticed Woods Bagot signs on the fences as I rode past today. Does this mean anything?

According to a MBA rep on FiveAA this morning, a new builder has already been appointed and will be announced today. I'd say that suggests that the developers knew of the predicament that Tagara were in for some time...

They're advertising this on the radio all the time, unfortunately
I think it will be a month or two before we see work progressing

I can assure you, as a purchaser of an apartment in New Mayfield long ago, that Watpac has been appointed the new builder of this development.ghs wrote:I checked the asx announcements for Watpac and no

Of significance yes otherwise insider trading. I doubt a contract has been signed if it hasn't been announced. This project is massive.rev wrote:Do they have to announce to the ASX every project?ghs wrote:I checked the asx announcements for Watpac and no

Probably scrambling to spec it, half done jobs require a lot of examination to see how far things really are.Ben wrote:Of significance yes otherwise insider trading. A few workers back on site today, and a couple of trucks too. A couple of blokes appeared to be putting up a sign out front of some sort.

Here's all the confirmation needed.
That new fence extends around the entire site too.
