That's not too bad so about 1/2 hr quicker than car.

Yes, there was an estimate of 5-7 minute time saving after electrification, but that could apply only to the all stoppers.

Looks like Adelaide Metro is getting a bit slack with graffiti removal on the trains? Quite a number of them are tagged.

Is this a consequence of the recent workers strike and industrial action? Do these workers literally cease doing maintenance work and whinge about pay and conditions whilst not fulfilling the basic tenets of their job descriptions? How is this not grounds for dismissal?

I definitely read something about the workers refusing to clean or report graffiti as part of their industrial action.

But I don't know enough about their pay and conditions to comment on whether I support their actions or not...

Workers have a right to engage in industrial action, during which they obviously do not undertake their usual duties.

Please explain...what is unfinished about the roofs at the Hallet Cove railway stations? Last time I was out that way (March) the roof covered the entire platform, arching over any in station train if my memory is correct.

The original design was to have the roof cover from platform to platform (tracks included). This was purposely left off while Diesels still run along the line. The question is whether the original plan to completely cover the station will be done given the line is now electrified.

My feeling is not for a while as there is still a chance they may need to run diesels through the station, even if only in an emergency type situation.

I used to catch the train from Hallet Cove Beach. When it rains a small portion of the platform gets wet due to water coming from above the tracks. I significantly larger amount comes in from the open sides of the platform. Unless the sides are also enclosed, the platforms will still get wet when it rains..

Does the rain always blow in sideways in your world?
This isn't a dig at you, but really can this state stop it's fucking whinging about every damn thing possible?
What's next, people are going to want outdoor heaters and air conditioning installed at train stations? How about couches and flat screen tvs with foxtel and chefs on hand to cook for people?
