I think it should have been taller. And also, two lifts serving 106 apartments seem to be a bit tiring.

Update on the project website:

"With 50% of apartments now sold, East Park is on track to meet its construction start-up target.

Project developer Daniel Palumbo is expected to make an announcement in the next few months confirming construction start-up in late 2015, on track for completion in 2017."

Still need to sell another 30% before they will start construction id say.

I went in to see the plan one weekend, and wasn't very impressed. There are only two lifts for all the apartments in there, and also, the pricing I think is too high in ADL market. The sales guy got a lot to do...

Can't wait to see it completed though...

106 apartments I think with two lifts, Vue has double the apartments with three lifts and U2 has 257 apartments with three lifts

It also depends on how many levels you have, and east park is11 stories, u2 is 25, more waiting time there. I don't really see it being much of a problem, particularly in a purely residential building. But I guess that sort of thing comes down to personal preference (I wouldnt place it high on my priority list)

Besides, the more lifts, the higher the body corporate fees are going to be.

I think two lifts is enough for 11 storeys.

My previous apartment in S Korea had 2 lifts for a 20 storey segment of a complex which was double the width of this, and two lifts were fine.

I lived in Kent Town for many years when I was younger and I'm amazed at the lack of development there. When I came back to Adelaide last year after 12 years away I thought the whole area would be fairly built up.

Yeah it is surprising, it has apparently been earmakred for growth over the next 10-20 years. Should become more of a high st area around the rundle st area

Mate, if someone makes a statement about construction beginning it's useful to name the source, that way people can get an idea of how genuine the statement is.
