Ok how long do you give it before the first drone hits it?
Or rows of pigeons sitting on the cables all day and just pooping on the people?

I think it'll look great, day & night...
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

It looks terrible. What a colossal fuck up.

It's funny how everyone is caning the cable installation, which not long ago everyone was lauding, up until the poles were installed...[Shuz] wrote:It looks terrible. What a colossal fuck up.
It's like listening to a collection of bi-polar North Adelaide residents!!!
"We love it! No it's shit, hang on, we liked it before, now its not as good as before because of this. No, hang on, we love it! Is this in North Adelaide? It is? no no no...."

I think it will be okay. I looked down the Mall from Pulteney Street this morning when there were blue skies and they are barely noticeable. Might be a little different once the lamps and power are connected? It's now obvious how the poles function in all of this. No building brackets = pole in front of building. Wires are strung from one side to the other 90 degrees to the Mall.
But like Claybro says, it currently looks like a very tall tram will be running down the Mall.

It's human nature to notice changes. They stand out now, because they're new, but I'm sure given a bit of time they'll become largely unnoticeable.

So, what, we've got barely a handful of flaccid, unfinished overhead wires up and we've already concluded the entire thing is going to be a pile of shite?
How about waiting until they actually attach a light or two (the purpose of said wires) before screaming disaster?
I'm all for a whinge when it's warranted, but christ... seriously?
*reserves right to whinge once complete*

What a difference a day makes - the longitudinal cables went up last night and the supporting cables have been tensioned along the western half of the Mall. I reckon this is going to look brilliant.
