Pretty standard for the Peppers Chain. Here's the Airlie Beach signage:rev wrote:That's the best logo/signage they could come up with?Norman wrote:Rendezvous Hotel is now Peppers Waymouth Hotel

Not a bad development given the location and better than an open air car park anyday!Ben wrote:Another hospital?

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development
I remember reading the article years ago in the advertiser and the EPA saying they would heavily fine the owner if even one drop of water from cleaning the building went into the street/drains due to the heavy pollution, pigeon poo etc. I would like to know how it's being done now...

I kid you not, they use frick'n laser beams (without sharks or muted sea bass attached) to burn off the pollution.how good is he wrote:I remember reading the article years ago in the advertiser and the EPA saying they would heavily fine the owner if even one drop of water from cleaning the building went into the street/drains due to the heavy pollution, pigeon poo etc. I would like to know how it's being done now...

they did it for Notre Damne 2 decades ago

basically removes the crap without hurting the underlying surface.
Another version I heard was being developed literally burnt off the pollution, but who knows.

Noticed that 228-230 North Terrace (Elizabeth House and Radio Adelaide buildings) has recently sold. The plots back onto Austin Street as well, could be a perfect spot for further development.

It would appear Channel Nine have commenced their move to the new Hindmarsh Square HQ (removals trucks at the old site on the weekend), I'd expect to see the old site up for sale sometime soon.

I thought this brick wall was heritage listed. I've always hated the glazing on this building. Such poor quality.

Close but no cigar, the brick facade on the building next to this one is heritage listed. I like the brick style when done right (East End Markets precinct) but this building reminds me of Citi Centre Arcade, something that belongs in the 90's and only the 90's.

Further to add on that, I'm all for some of these building's along Grenfell Street revamping; they look really tired and considering Grenfell Street is our business strip you'd think it'd look the part.
