It will massively impact the view down King William Street from the Square, having a 90m tower rise pretty much from the street will be pretty impressive. Coming down Old Belair Road the crane is really obvious at it's current height, when it tops out it will easily be noticeable. i would say from the Airport it's impact might be diminished due to the proximity of Telstra House/Grenfell Centre.Ben wrote:Crane and core rise today. Level 11 in the box. Floor 9 complete. One floor away from being the same as Adam building. Not too sure if this will be visible from many places due to its close proximity to Westpac. Hopefully at least from the airport.

Great pics! I spy the first panels of the curtain wall too! Looks like nice reflective glazing too.

Another core and crane rise. Up to 13 in the box. I guess it will top out rough double what it is now.

Window glazing has been installed on levels 2 to 5 at the rear plus a couple of windows on the front. the edge panels are mirrored stone finish in a reddish brown colour and between the floors is a blueish grey glass finish.

Core rise today. Up to 14 in the core. Could almost be topped out by end of the year, with a rise every 4 or 5 business day.

View from my office this morning on level 30 Westpac House.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Interesting design... cast in-situ core walls, steel framing and pre-cast side walls - bit of everything going on for a building with such a small footprint.

looking forward to the impact of this one on KWS - will greatly add to the urban, city centre feel of the CBD.
Considering the floor plate sizes you would think this will fill quickly - a good test case to find this out anyway.

As of Sunday 8 Nov 2015 there are 12 levels completed. At the front the Redish brown panelling starts at level 6. It must be some sort of Metallic (Alucobond) finish
because it does change colour depending on which way the light strikes it. When the sun shine is head on it appears a very pale yellow colour.
