Saw some fabulous shots of the oval after dark from the air over RAH (in the news in Brisbane). Link this with the sunset shots and there is another magnetic element to the oval.

Good come back by the Aussies by tea break!

Is there something about the design of the stands that amplifies the noise beyond the commensurate crowd numbers?

Wonder how many will attend tonight?

Just made 40000 at tea. I estimate MANY more yet to come - esp with the match entering into a good battle.

Probably to save money. No need to clean that section if vacant.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Wouldn't it be better to have it open and packed though - as it would've been today

Simply amazing against a low drawing team like New Zealand. Imagine if this was the Ashes.

These images being beamed around Australia in prime time are simply priceless!

This is a photo I took out the back of the Western Stand in the Members Area where there must of been thousands of people! I overhead one person say,"Its like 3 days of the Perth Cup in a row!"

Every year I've gone to the Adelaide Test since the the redevelopment of the Western Stand the Village Green seems to have gotten bigger. I'd love to see it become an event for Adelaide like at Flemington for the Melbourne Cup. I think it's slowly heading there. Even the commentators on Channel 9 love it! There's really nothing like it at any other Australian Cricket match. It's unique to the Adelaide Oval.

Over 120,000 for 3 days.

Unfortunately doesn't look like we'll have any play on days 4/5. We'd easily exceed 150,000...

Has anything in our city ever had more viewers nationally? Fantastic exposure!

cricket.com.au ✔ @CricketAus
The national audience for the third day of the Third Test peaked at 3.190 million viewers on @WWOS9 #AUSvNZ

...
Agree.

Accolades for Adelaide Oval!
SACA highlighted ...
... attendance of 33,923 pushed crowd figures to 123,736 across the three days, the highest ever non-Ashes attendance at an Adelaide Test, and higher than the collective attendance over the previous ten days of Test cricket against New Zealand in Adelaide.
Global and Australian TV audiences were huge. Media coverage and social media posts/interaction and shared photos highlighted our beautiful Adelaide Oval adding, subliminal and otherwise, free tourism advertising.

Adelaide Oval looked magnificent, the atmosphere was buzzing with colourful singing/chanting fans, particularly on the hill and during evening sessions.
The packed "village green" added a huge vibe for Members (contributing those extra 'unseen fans' - not understood when TV audiences assess attendance figures! Top level of the eastern stand (vacant) is not the best viewing for summer sport, considering its orientation).

Examples:
Independent (UK):
Adelaide tickled pink as day-night Test passes with flying colours
From blue to orange, red, purple and finally black. The serene, beautiful sunset over this ground last night served as a metaphor for the change cricket was experiencing before our eyes...
