Backing up what someone has said about the building making an impact when viewed from the bottom of the SE Freeway, it seems to look a lot "closer" from there, definitely a good looking building from that vantage point.

Wrt the colour, I think the brown might work best when surrounded by other buildings of various colours. As the most prominent building in the vicinity, I'm not such a fan of the choice.

Is colour required to be part of the approval process, and if so when was it decided to change from the lighter colour we saw in the render?

A pic of the pool from their Facebook page. These are also listed on real estate.com for rent available from May 1.

Just wondering, why didn't they put the pool on the rooftop ? Would have been a good view.

Despite not really being keen on the brown initially I actually really like this one now.

Photo at dawn this fine Tuesday morning.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Looks stunning from distance with the sun shining off it giving it that bronze/gold shine. Vue is a big tick :applause:

Haha, we could very well be neighbours! This shot looks an awful lot like my view of VUE from my rooftop terrace on Gilles Street.

'Sif you get up at dawn. Admit it - that's a photo just after you rolled out of bed at dusk, while standing on your head to make the Sun shine on the other side of the building.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

This is the render that they shopped around to investor/buyers. Its a long way from the shit brown that they actually produced.
From a distance the building looks great but up close that brown really sucks!

Agree- looks pretty good from a distance, but gradually gets worse the closer you get.

I have a friend who bought off the original plan who is very unhappy with the way it has ended up. I don't think it is anywhere near as bad as what she is making it out to be, but even so I can completely understand her annoyance.

Exterior doesn't look as fancy as the render but they rarely do.

What I've noticed from the pics online of some of the finished apartments is they have split system air conditioning. That is what i'd expect in a cheap block of units not high end apartments. That is also why there are the air con systems on the balconies. Very cheap and nasty and not very common in apartment developments these days.
