Imagine being up there on the viewing platform on the riverbank stand roof watching.
Makes for a long toilet trip........

Highly recommend the climb for anyone considering it, was a great experience!

The viewing platform is directly over the goalposts, which was a surreal perspective.

The hurdle they need to clear, is giving the AFL 100% guarantee that if anything goes wrong on a walk (e.g a climber has a heart attack etc), that the game won't be disrupted whatsoever.

They're currently putting together policies/procedures to hopefully satisfy this.

What an experience that would be during a game over the southern goals.

They really need to clear those ugly trees between the southern plaza and riverbank.

According to Daily Football Show, the Hyundai A-League grand final, to be played at the adelaide oval next sunday 1 may has already sold 20k tickets, between Adelaide United FC and Western Sydney Wanderers FC.

A return trip from sydney to adel next week at the moment is about $800 + gf tickets and accomodation
Match day ticket info: Cheapest adult ticket is $60 as GA, with reserved seating topping $138

With the high prices for the game, I was curious as to how well the game would sell.

$60 for GA has all but put me off going but it looks like it's going to sell out anyway.

$60 for GA at a Grand Final? That's very cheap! Compare this to an NRL or AFL Grand Final...

But this isn't NRL or AFL.

This is A-League - what would be a tertiary interest for many people. Interestingly the prices are dearer than the Socceroos match the other week.

29,000 tickets sold now, and the general public haven't even had a chance yet. I'd be shocked if it doesn't sell out from here.

City will be buzzing on Sunday with this event plus the Fork On The Road event kicking off Tasting Australia in Vic Square.

Down to single seats I believe now.

Back to back 50k+ events in one weekend - the true meaning of multi purpose stadium is about to hit!

With all these people at the two matches we need the new development behind the Festival theatre done. Dare I say - Festival Square.

Amen to that.

Though I believe the hill will be closed on Sunday so the crowd won't be as big as what you can get (will probably still be 45k-ish though)

Adelaide Oval Redevelopment

Did the RoofClimb on Sunday and it was great fun. Highly recommend doing it.

The Oval perspectives from up there are obviously fantastic, but you also go along the arc at the back of the Riverbank Stand - the views from there (top of the arc) looking back at the city are really incredible.

According to Channel 7 news, the FFA has approved the sale of tickets for the hill.
Normally they require all spectators to be seated at A-League games.
Good chance the crowd will be over 50k.

Apparently attendance will be capped at 51k for Sunday. Reason? Fox need more room for their cameras.

I've never known cameras to take up space for two thousand people, so my guess is that it's a veiled way to keep AUFC and WSW fans separate.
Our state, our city, our future.
